The Dress!

What’s your style? a-line vs. cinderella vs. boho…

Be as EXTRA as you’d like to be when it comes to your gown! I mean, you’re only going to wear it once or maybe twice (for anniversary purposes). I mean I just can’t fathom the perfection of this couple, dress, and veil! Seriously though, how amazing is this veil?!

Anthropologie Wedding Dress

Over the years I have grown to love the more simplistic styles. I am in absolute awe over this gown by Anthropologie. I love how conservative it is in the front, yet the back has a nice cut to it. It wasn’t overly heavy and you could tell that the bride was comfortable in it. Too many times have I seen brides start to itch because of the sequence embroidery or they end up changing into another more comfortable outfit because their dress is that uncomfortable.

On a side note, there was one time that I actually watched a dress slowly start to slide off of a bride…The dress was so heavy and the bride was very petite for that kind of style. Yes, it was beautiful but I am sure everyone remembered how it started to fall off of her rather than how gorgeous it was.

Personally, my dress was from the 80’s. In fact, it was my mother-in-laws and it fit perfectly! It had these large 80’s kind of styled puffy sleeves and satin flowers on the waistline, but I knew what I could do with it. My grandmother was able to help me transform it into my design that I envisioned and it totally worked for me!
